Pasha restaurant serves San Antonio real Mediterranean cuisine

LibreAmerica.com is not all about the doom and gloom of politics or social issues. We understand that what readers really want is a piece of the good life and their stances on political issues stem from how they best believe to achieve that “piece of the good life.” What does everyone want in their good life? Food of course! So I decided to write about one of the pieces of the food life I found right here in good old San Antonio.

I have always had a love for Mediterranean food and honestly I had given up all hope of finding a good Mediterranean restaurant in San Antonio until my friend introduced me to a place named Pasha. Pasha located at 9339 Wurzbach Rd. San Antonio, TX 78240 may be one of the best Mediterranean or overall food places I have ever eaten at. At first glance I would have never given the restaurant a chance. Wedged between fast food chain restaurants and behind a few bars, Pasha’s location did not score it many points on appealing places to sit down and eat. “But never judge a book by its cover” rings the quote from grade school. After entering the restaurant I could tell the owners had done extensive remodeling to the facility and even an outdoor ad on with an open air deck.

But enough of the atmosphere, down to what we really care about- the food. I decided to order the Gyro plate and I was not disappointed with my choice. The homemade pita bread , which was about the diameter of a medium pizza was excellent and served with an olive oil based dipping sauce. When the Gyro plate arrived I was surprised with the massive amount of food that was given. Thick cuts of Lamb/Beef gyro meat, that was one of the most juicy and flavorful cuts I have ever had, was served with Greek salad, hummus, rice and tzatziki sauce. I was given so much food; I had leftovers, which is an uncommon event for me, as I have done my fair share of competitive eating.

If you have a little extra money to spoil yourself, or looking for something different on a date night, I recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Restaurant Rating- 8/10
